Installation and Setup Service at Faster Laser
Our Service Process
Pre-Installation Consultation
Before delivery, we review your facility and the work the laser system will perform. This allows us to identify site requirements early and coordinate the preparations needed for installation.
- Space and Access: We confirm the machine’s footprint and the clearance needed for loading materials, operating the equipment, and performing maintenance. We also review the delivery route, doorways, and floor conditions.
- Power and Utilities: We check the specified electrical supply and discuss any required network connection, cooling, compressed air, assist gas, or fume extraction. Your facility team can then arrange the necessary connections before the equipment arrives.
- Materials and Workflow: We review part sizes, material handling, production volume, and the steps before and after laser processing. This helps us plan the machine’s position within your existing workflow.
- Installation Schedule: We coordinate delivery and setup with your operations team and identify any work that must be completed in advance.
System Delivery and Setup
Once the site is ready, we coordinate delivery and begin setting up the laser system. Our team works through the installation methodically so that each component is accounted for and assembled according to the equipment requirements.
- Unpacking and Inspection: We check the delivered components against the agreed configuration and inspect them for visible shipping damage. Any discrepancy is documented and addressed before setup proceeds.
- Machine Installation: Technicians position the system, install its components, and connect the supplied equipment. They check mechanical placement, connections, and machine functions as part of the setup process.
- Workspace Arrangement: We review operator access, material movement, maintenance clearance, and the location of supporting equipment. If an adjustment is needed, we discuss it with your team before finalizing the layout.
System Calibration and Testing
After setup, we check the system’s operation and prepare it for the agreed applications. This stage helps confirm that the machine is functioning correctly before it is handed over for routine production.
- Alignment and Positioning: We verify the alignment and positioning functions relevant to the supplied laser system. The checks may differ between cutting, welding, marking, cleaning, and other applications.
- Process Settings: We establish initial settings for representative materials and tasks. Parameters such as power, speed, focus, and gas flow are adjusted as applicable to the process.
- Performance Tests: We run test jobs to review output quality, positioning, consistency, and basic machine operation. Where suitable samples and specifications are available, we compare the results with the requirements agreed upon for the project.
Software Installation and Configuration
The software must support the way your team prepares jobs and operates the machine. We install and configure the software included with the system, then check that its essential functions work with the equipment.
- Software Setup: We install the required control software and configure the functions needed to import files, prepare jobs, set parameters, and run the system.
- Operator Settings: Where supported, we arrange relevant software preferences, user permissions, or saved process settings to suit your production routine.
- Workflow Integration: If software or equipment integration is part of the agreed scope, we connect and test the relevant functions with your team. The available options depend on the supplied system and your existing software and machines.
Training and Knowledge Transfer
Once installation and testing are complete, we train the people who will operate and maintain the system. Training is based on the supplied configuration and the tasks your team expects to perform.
- System Operation: Operators learn how to prepare materials and jobs, select appropriate settings, start and monitor a process, and check the finished result.
- Safe Operation: We cover the machine’s protective features, required operating procedures, and the actions to take when an alarm or emergency occurs. Your team should also follow the site’s own safety procedures.
- Routine Care: We explain the inspection and maintenance tasks assigned to operators, including how to recognize issues that require technical support.
- Basic Troubleshooting: We show your team how to interpret common alerts, record useful details about a problem, and determine when to stop the machine and contact support.
Post-Installation Support and Follow-Up
Support continues after the installation team has completed the initial setup. As your operators begin using the system for day-to-day work, new questions may arise about settings, maintenance, or particular jobs.
- Follow-Up Review: We check how the system is performing and address questions identified during early use. Depending on the service arrangement, this review may take place remotely or on-site.
- Technical Support: Our support team can assist with troubleshooting, operating questions, and further guidance when your team encounters a new application.
- Maintenance Planning: We provide maintenance recommendations based on the equipment and its expected use, helping your team plan regular checks and service.
- Process Adjustments: If your materials or production requirements change, we can help review whether settings, accessories, or additional training are needed.
